My work, or my professional and personal search throughout the years can be summarized as:
The Work – an interpretation of the swirling movement of water, the organic aspects of nature in the development of form and volume. Various native Brazilian wood species are used to blend function and plasticity into complete interdependency.
The Search –technical improvement and continuous artistic search to manipulate the elaborated woodwork with more precision, and more understanding for the intrinsic characteristics of the selected raw material, in a more conscious and thorough exploration of the range of possibilities.
Commitment –concern for the environment permeates the correct selection and utilization of renewable resources. We choose only selected wood from areas where sustainability of the Brazilian Forest is guaranteed, and where its harvest is linked to the development of communities that use resources from the forest for their survival.
